The old terminal of Aeropuerto Internacional Joaquín de Olmedo was fully renewed and turned into a stunning convention centre. In another sector of the airport a new building of 50,000 sq m in area was constructed and fitted with cutting-edge technology.
With capacity to receive 5 million passengers a year, this project has commercially boosted the city of Guayaquil, which went from being just a stop to connect to other tourist spots, to becoming a worldclass business centre.
