Corporación América is a private shareholder of Airgest plc; the company which manages the airport Vincenzo Florio in Trapani, in the core of western Sicily.

The company designs, builds and manages the airport infrastructure and facilities, as well as its maintenance.

Trapani airport is an international military airport open to civilian traffic, with its own independent runway, and a good infrastructure that enables it to absorb the ever-increasing level of air traffic and passengers. Its central position in the Mediterranean, together with its mild climate, make it an ideal location for all traffic from Europe and North Africa.

The airport covers an area of around 500 ha and its 2695-m-runway can welcome all types of aircraft, from the smaller regional types to the bigger models currently in use.

The 64,900 sq m apron can hold up to 9 aircraft at any one time. The airport building itself is 2,500 sq m and includes the check-in area, departure lounges, baggage claim, security restricted areas, catering services and reception areas, the VIP lounge and the "Sala Amica" lounge, and services for the disabled.

Next to the airport there is also stress-free parking available to customers with a capacity of up to 800 cars. Access by road, air traffic, passenger transit, infrastructure and passenger facilities have been streamlined to ensure that services are efficient and always on time.

The number of passengers using Trapani airport has doubled, rising from 533,310 in 2008 to 1 million in 2009 -an increase of over 100%.

The airport boasts an average of over 3,000 passengers a day, with an average seat-fill rate of over 70%, which rises to 90% on domestic flights. Since the airport opened in 1998, it has grown extremely rapidly by nearly 200%. Trapani Airport has strong growth potential and a young and efficient management team which guarantees excellent service standards.
